Blog out of space?

Sorry for no new posts lately.  Apparently my blog is out of storage space for photos.  I can't add anything without paying for more space or finding another solution.  Any ideas?

Frogs, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails.....

The newest player in our family's "Game of Life" is a:

That's right!  We've kind of known all along but it was exciting to see the proof.  For this precious kid's sake, we have omitted any photos of said "proof".

Handsome little one!  He kept one foot and one hand near his face for most of the imaging; the bumps on his chin and cheek are actually fingers.

I love ultrasound day.  I love being able to address our baby by gender rather than "it".  I love that he gave us a little high five before we finished to let us know he is ok.  We can't wait to meet you little one.  What an adventure this will be after having two girls!

The girls were not surprised when I told them the news.  Lily said, "I know Mom.  I told you it was a baby brother."  She wants to name him Flynn Ryder (character in Disney's Rapunzel).  Mom and Dad vetoed that one.

Sunday Shenanigans 11/11/12

Work on the basement continues.  The electrician came to finish up a few things and Jeremy started work on the bathroom.  He painted it himself and laid the tile floor with help from Grampy Hall.

Lily made shapes and patterns with scraps of paper she found.  It kept her entertained for almost two hours one morning.

Lily after preschool with her turkeys.  She was most proud of her apple turkey.  She and Annie devoured it in a matter of minutes - I'm so glad we snapped a picture first.

Annie found my winter accessories.  I had to hide the scarves for safety reasons. She loves the hat and gloves the most.

Jeremy on Wednesday beginning the tile project.

Annie dressed to the nines just in time to watch some Dora on television.

Since the tile project is slow work while waiting for the rows to set up Grampy and Daddy decided to use the down time to add insulation to the house.  Jeremy climbed up in the attic and blew in tons of insulation.  The house is warmer already!

 Tile work almost done!

The girls enjoying their swivel cars from Grammy and Grampy.  Annie can even make it go without using her feet now.

Preparing the trampoline for winter burial.  We just get too much snow and cold here to leave it up.  The girls were very sad to see it go away.

Daddy and Grampy also planted two trees - one large oak in the front and an apple tree in the back.  Mommy doesn't think they will survive the shock of the cold over here, hopefully we'll still have thriving trees in the spring.

A big thank you to Grampy for trekking over here to help with the projects.  We are so excited to get the bathroom finished int he basement!

Sunday Shenanigans 11/04/2012

This week was almost all about Halloween.  For Family Home Evening we carved pumpkins.  Lily is old enough to do it herself now.  She gave her pumpkin four different faces.

Annie just supervised and signed off on our work.  She didn't like the slimy pumpkin innards so she didn't want to touch anything.

The little question mark pumpkin is for the baby since we still don't know the gender.

Preschool this week was a Halloween party.  We played games, painted pumpkins, made banana ghost pops, and ate a wonderful lunch.  We had a great time.

On Halloween, Lily decided on Merida again which meant Mommy had to curl her hair.  It was easier than I thought it would be, but still took over half an hour.  She loves the curls.  The next morning she asked me to curl it again.  I told her we would save all that effort for special occasions only.

And after weeks of dressing as Cinderella, pretending to be Cinderella and watching Cinderella, Annie decided to dress as a monkey.  At least she was warm and comfortable!

Puna and Papa gave us the newest Tinkerbell movie for the girls' birthday.  Lily has watched it every day this week - sometimes twice a day.  Our cousins gave her this green and white hooded vest.  When she realized it looks a lot like Tink's winter jacket, Lily had to wear it almost every time she watched the movie.  She even acts it out as she watches.  I love seeing her imagination grow.

We made a day trip to Utah for our cousin Gabriel's baptism.  It was a gorgeous day.  The baptism was wonderful.  Mommy was asked to play the piano.  Aunt Diana made a wonderful lunch.  Lily cried when it was time to go because she wanted to keep playing and visiting with the cousins and grandparents.  We'll have to go visit again soon.  Congratulations Gabriel!

2012 Birthday Celebration Part III

After all the party excitement wore off, Grammy helped the girls make a spooky monster for Halloween.  the monsters were based on a book the girls love called Go Away Big Green Monster.  Lily learned how to use scissors and was so proud of her monster.  He is displayed on our refrigerator.

Lily playing with the pinata remnants before church.

Lily helped Grammy make Swiss Porridge for breakfast.  Mommy loves anything with whipped cream and coconut.  This was a yummy breakfast!

Before leaving to go home we took a picture with our newest addition - the minivan.  We are so happy to have a newer car and have a vehicle that will hold all of us once the baby arrives this Spring.  And the best part is....we saved up to pay cash for it.

That sums up our three day birthday celebration in Boise.  Thank you to Grammy and Grampy for hosting us.  And thank you to Puna and Papa for traveling down to celebrate with us.  It meant so much to the girls to be with all of you.

Trunk or Treat

When we lived in Meridian I helped revive Trunk or Treat in our ward.  It has since expanded to include dinner and sometimes a carnival for the kids.  It is a great way to see friends and get family together.  We had so much fun being back in our old ward.  It made us feel a little homesick for Meridian.

Lily had two other costumes in her suitcase for this trip but decided on a new one from Puna - Merida from Disney's Brave.  Puna even sat down for 45 minutes to give Lily spiral curls just like Merida's.  Lily felt like a princess.  Annie wanted to be Cinderella and loved wearing her long dress and sparkle shoes.

Lily was patient while Puna curled her hair.  She liked the attention and the chance to get fancy hair.

The girls loved the dancing and games almost as much as the candy!

Annie's first Trunk or Treat experience.  Big Sister was there to show her the ropes.

Helping Mommy pass out a little more candy before going home.

Our belles after the "ball".  Thank you Meridian 12th ward for the great memories and the warm welcome.  Happy Halloween!
