First Time in Grass

The sun has finally made an appearance in Idaho and we all appreciate it. It is still a bit brisk, but the warmth of the sun helps a little. Mommy, Lily, and Akela have been taking long walks every day with the stroller during Lily's morning nap time. It feels so good to get outside. This afternoon, Mommy put Lily on a blanket in the backyard - which Lily promplty rolled off of so she could touch the grass. She was fascinated by it.

Mush Mouth

We decided that since Lily loves cereal so much and she can sit up with assistance, we should try out the high chair. This morning was her first breakfast in the high chair and Lily had a great time.

She even wanted to try feeding herself....

Which didn't work out too well, but was very fun to watch.

Mommy did learn that it is tricky to get food in the mouth while trying to take a picture. Thankfully, Lily didn't seem to mind her mush mouth.

Five Months

What? I'm five months old? I can't believe I'm such a big girl already. It must be time for Mommy to tell you all what I'm up to.......
Mommy finally caught a smile on the camera with A LOT of help from Daddy. Thank you Auntie Kristine Nunes for my cute outfit.

This is Miss Lily doing her favorite thing...chewing on her fingers.
Her other five month favorites are:
eating rice cereal
rolling over
playing with the dog
eating breakfast with Daddy before he leaves for work
singing with Mommy
"playing" the piano
going for walks in the stroller

Wearing O' The Green

It is St. Patrick's Day and I had to dress our little leprechaun in green and take some pictures. Unfortunately, she was more interested in her feet and toes than the camera. Feet are a new discovery this week.

Would rather watch the trees blow outside than look at Mommy.

Finally! I got her to look at the camera...but still no smile. I promise she smiles all the time, I just never time the photos right.

Furry Friend

I was playing with Lily this morning on the floor - working on getting her to roll over. My phone rang so I jumped up to answer it. As I walked back to the family room, I heard Lily giggle and found this.....

Akela was being so gentle and Lily just thought the dog was the coolest thing she's ever seen. I grabbed the camera just in time to catch this adorable moment.....

I wish you could all hear the way Lily laughed when Akela put her chin on Lily's tummy. Akela is so protective of Lily and loves to shower her with sloppy doggy kisses. They are so funny together - I think they're still not qute sure what to make of each other.
