Christmas Angel

We got another few inches of snow today. After church, Lily was ready to go make snow angels - she waved her arms and legs in just the right motion. But Mommy didn't think that was an appropriate Sunday activity so we took pictures of her pretty dress instead. Then she fell asleep this way. Silly girl!

Ward Christmas Party

Lily had a great time at her first church Christmas party. Daddy was very busy all night greeting everyone. Bishops are very busy this time of year. Lily was passed from person to person - which gave Mommy the chance to eat dinner. Lily has discovered her tongue and will stick it out for you if you ask her to. She is also starting to smile at people besides Daddy and Mommy. She gets more playful each day.

8 Weeks - First Christmas Party

Grandma Jeannie gave Lily this adorable snow bunny outfit and boots. I just had to post pictures of it before she outgrows it. Tonight we put on a dinner for the bishopric and clerks of our ward. We had 18 people there. Christine made a beautiful rib roast and assigned out sides, salads, and desserts. The dinner was delicious and we had a great time visiting. Lily was all smiles and laughs for everyone at the party. We tried to capture a smile in a photo, but she was too tired.

Weight Woes

Lily was small when she was born and she has been gaining very slowly since then. The doctor was a little concerned so we have started supplementing her diet with formula. Just since last Thursday she has gained one whole pound. She now tips the scales at 9 lbs 1 oz. It is nice to see some meat on her bones, but she is still a tiny thing.

First Snow

Grandma Wanner gave us this cute snow suit to wear. We think it makes Lily look like Randy (Ralphie's brother in A Christmas Story). We had a sprinkling of snow in Idaho today, so we took a family walk and let Lily and the dog experience the arrival of winter.

Seven Weeks...going to see Daddy @ work

Lily was looking so cute the other day, I decided to pack her up and take her to see Daddy so he could show her off in his office. Our outing did not go well. She spit up on two of Daddy's coworkers and had to change her clothes because she got so much on herself! Mommy needs more practice with the camera - sorry about the overexposure and red eye!

Lily was blessed by Jeremy on November 30th. It was a wonderful day. Lily was quiet and happy during the whole blessing - because Mommy put Papa Wanner on pacifier duty while he stood in the circle. We wish more family could have been there. Sue Thulin made Lily's beautiful blessing gown. It will be a family treasure.

Here She Is!

Lily Kay Hall arrived on October 21 at 8:05 a.m. weighing 6 lbs 3 oz. She was breech, so we had to do a c-section, but the procedure went very smoothly and we didn't have any complications. My recovery was not too fun and I was anxious to get home from the hospital as soon as possible. It is nice to be home now.

Idaho Shower

Look at my huge belly! I had a great time with all my friends at my shower in Idaho. It was hosted by my friend Melissa Stonehocker. I especially loved having both grandmas together for the shower. It was fun for them to meet my friends and share in the celebration.

October 21st!

Well for the past few weeks the baby has been breech and just won't turn. Due to my high blood pressure, the doctor feels it would be better to schedule a C-Section than try to turn her and let me go into labor on my own. We are going in on Tuesday October 21 at 7:30 a.m. I can't believe it is so close now.

Seattle Shower

I flew back to Seattle in early September for a family and friends shower. It was hosted by Sue Thulin. The decorations and flowers were so beautiful and the food was amazing! I really appreciated how many people came and all the wonderful gifts and advice I received. It was a truly happy day!

Nursery

We've been hard at work preparing the house and nursery for the baby. Jeremy was not too enthusiastic about painting one whole room of the house pink, but he did it for me anyway. We inherited my brother's baby furniture. Thank goodness my parents saved it all these years.

Sympathy Pains?

We took a labor and delivery class at the hospital to hopefully ease my fears about giving birth to a child. I am still concerned about the whole process - mostly because it is new territory for me. But I did get to enjoy an hour of watching Jeremy try to deal with a pregnancy belly of his own. The poor dear! It was worth taking the class just so he could experience a little bit of discomfort. He has sure offered me a lot more back rubs lately too.
