Sunday Shenanigans on a Worn-Out Wednesday

Puna and Papa left us on Monday morning and the girls have been a little out of sorts since then.  I tried to keep things low key and fun Monday to buffer the separation, but Tuesday was a difficult and moody day.  So today I took it easy again - come what may and love it, right? Since Puna and Papa were here all of last week, I didn't post our usual "Shenanigans".  Here is the make up post with all the pictures that didn't fit into the other posts from this week.

We went to our favorite casual eatery called Cafe Rio.  Both the girls stuffed themselves on cheese quesadillas and root beer.  They slept great that night.

In addition to the trampoline, we got a pool.  Lily and Annie love it.  Annie is always concerned about the inflatable giraffe.  She wakes up in the morning and tells me that the giraffe needs a drink of water.  She loves to push its nose into the pool.

Papa went fishing on Saturday so the rest of us went to the water park.  Even in such hot weather the girls were cold in the pool.  I think they enjoyed laying out in the sun more than the swimming.  This year Lily was more wary of the pool, Annie was like a little fish she wanted more and more water.

Sunday morning chocolate milk and snuggles with her "dawwies."

Sunday afternoon nap with Papa.

For Puna and Papa's last night with us, we had a family campfire and made s'mores in the backyard.  We all love Annie's expression in the photo above.
"Hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt!"

Annie was so particular about her s'mores and marshmallows.  She only wanted the chocolate straight from the wrapper and marshmallows fresh from the bag.  Every time we offered her a golden, toasted one she would turn up her nose.  Puna and Papa tried all night to coax her into trying one and never succeeded.

We love you and miss you already Puna and Papa.  Thank you for a great week of "staycation".  And thanks again to Papa for working so hard on our shed with Jeremy.
