Coloring Easter Eggs

We colored eggs for the first time as a family this year.  We dyed about 20 eggs and only cracked two of them.  The girls had a lot of fun.

Lily's favorite job was stirring the eggs in the dye.  She was really good at it.  Most of our eggs were pink or purple and covered with glitter.

Annie really wanted to "help" with the egg coloring.  Daddy had a smart idea to give Annie a bowl of water, put a few drops of dye in it and let Annie stir a plastic egg around in the colored water.  Annie loved coloring her egg and liked feeling a part of the action.

Daddy was busy coloring eggs while Mommy took pictures and tried to keep Annie away from the eggs on the drying rack.  This is Daddy's "action shot" face.

After the eggs were dry Lily wanted to add some more razzle dazzle.  She used stickers on the eggs.  They were so cute.  We had a great time being silly and talking about Easter.  What a fun was to spend Friday night!
