Sunday Shenanigans 11/13/11

Our dentist in Idaho gave us iPods for becoming new patients. I am really thankful to have a new one since my old one quit this summer. Lily wanted to know how the headphones worked so I gave her a turn. She wore the iPod for almost an hour and sang and danced the whole time. She loves music.

Annie loves dressing up and wearing accessories. One day she put on almost every accessory the girls have in their dress up box. She wore them all morning until her nap.

Lily wanted to dress up as Cinderella while watching Cinderella this week. She even put on her sparkly shoes - which we called glass slippers. It was sweet to see her go to imagination land and enjoy being a princess.

I had a great shopping trip to D.I. this week. I found two brand new shirts for Jeremy for a great price and I found lots of toys for the girls. Lily's favorite toy is the paddle ball. I love this action shot with hair and ball in the air. She calls the paddle ball her yo-yo.

Annie wants to be more independent - but only when it suits her. One night for dinner she was really being a stinker so I just gave her all the food and let her feed herself. The combination of raspberry yogurt and canned green beans looked so unappetizing! But she happily ate everything....that is, everything that didn't end up on her shirt or on the floor. Practice makes perfect. I'm pretty sure that one day she'll be able to get food in her mouth with more accuracy.

Other happenings this week: Daddy gave his first speech in Toastmasters, Daddy helped a family he home teaches move to a new home, Annie can say "poop", "happy", "hi", and "cup". Lily earned a ribbon in gymnastics for passing off a few skills. Mommy got a new cell phone and it has so many bells and whistles she can't get the hang of it. Daddy's new phone is coming soon.

Wow, what a cool dentist. Sounds like you hit the jackpot this week: new phone, ipod, cool finds at the DI, things are going your way! Happy to hear it! Love the dress up pictures :)
