Lily was so excited to wish Mommy a Happy Mothers' Day that she woke us up at 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. just to make sure she could see Mommy and get some snuggles! By 7:00, Mommy was still pretty tired, so Daddy was able to sneak downstairs and make breakfast in bed without Mommy knowing.
He made scrambled eggs with salsa and toast, and some pumpkin bread for a treat. He came in at 7:30 with a beautiful breakfast tray and two cards. Lily could smell the food so she hinted that she would like to join us. Daddy went to get her and brought her to Mommy for a morning snuggle.
After snuggles, Lily was ready for some solid food. She got to have apples and cherries mixed with cereal. Daddy caught her really enjoying her first breakfast in bed.
A full tummy makes for a happy morning in the Hall house!
After breakfast, we snuggled in bed for a long time. Daddy cancelled all his church meetings for the morning so we could be together. Mommy got to enjoy a nice long shower and peaceful morning. Most of all, we got to celebrate the arrival of Lily and the happiness she has brought to our family.
